Diving at Last

Now that Honor, our “new” RIB has been refurbished, we can finally go diving!

Honor is a very spacious Deep Sea 21 with 150 HP Honda four stroke engine and was very kindly made available to us by Whitehill Sub Aqua Club when they disbanded in 2011. She is equipped with all necessary safety and electronic gear and a lives in a nice, warm , secure and well lit Casemate at Fort Cumberland.

The weather hasn’t always been kind, but we have had fun!

HMS Invincible

Much of our diving in 2012 has been on the Protected Wreck site of HMS Invincible, helping Site  Licensee and club member Dan Pascoe with ongoing survey work. This shallow site (8m) lies on Horsetail and Dean Sands, a few miles out from Langstone Harbour Entrance . Diving on site will continue throughout the winter (weather permitting)

Dan’s poster detailing the achievements of the 2012 season can be found here (20MB jpeg file).
